The Triumph TR6 was released in 1969 replacing the TR5 combining the 6 cylinder 2.5L fuel injected engine and fully independent suspension from this model with the restyled Karmann bodywork. The TR6 remained in production until 1976 and is regarded with much affection as the last of the “hairy chested” British two seat sports convertibles, with a separate chassis and body tub. I had a yellow TR6 which I used in the 80s for around 10 years every summer.
Our 1973 Racing Green TR6 has had extensive work since the early 90s, with the previous owner being a local TR specialist. The car drives superbly with its uprated suspension and sounds fantastic especially flipping through the gears with overdrive on 3rd and 4th.
This car looks fabulous with its walnut dash, black leather seats and mohair hood. Decent size boot and relaxed cruising makes this a great car for a weekend away.
